B. ARRIVAL AND SETTLEMENT SERVICE
 
 
Our Arrival and Settlement service is strongly aligned with our philosophy of assisting you with early practicalities and then empowering you and equipping you with the knowledge, skills and networks needed to ensure your swift and successful settlement into New Zealand life for your family.
 
We prefer not to make decisions and provide “stock” answers for you - but rather help you design a strategy that will guide you towards asking the right questions, finding your own answers and thus make the right decisions for yourselves. This methodology has a lasting positive impact that creates a wonderful platform for your new life in New Zealand.
 
The Arrival and Settlement Package includes the following services and resources.
  • Before you leave the UK, we will allocate you a Mobile telephone number for New Zealand that will be yours to keep.
  • Before you leave the UK we will give you a temporary mailing address that you can use in New Zealand until you get your new address.
  • Meet and Greet at the airport in New Zealand.
  • Shuttle transfer to you first accommodation.
  • Welcome pack of essential groceries for the first 24 hours.
  • Initial 2 hour consultation and development of a “strategy plan” designed to ensure you make the right decisions in those vital first 12 weeks.
  • Thereafter, a consultant will be available to offer support and advice to you by telephone. In particular this support and advice may be of a more local flavour based upon where you actually live. Our experience has shown that this seldom exceeds more than 4 hours contact in the following 10 – 12 weeks.

As previously stated, our philosophy is based upon the principle of empowering you to execute the strategy designed to help you and your family settle. This has by far the most effective long term results.
 
However, from time to time circumstances might see you needing a little more assistance in actually doing what is required. You will have already developed the knowledge and ability to set about the tasks but it may be a simple lack of time or horizontal prioritisation that sees you requiring assistance to get the job done. This is where you need to apply a simple Time/Money equation to the matters at hand and call in extra help.
 
Our customised service is one where you select help from our help menu or ask us to provide a customised service to meet your specific need,
 
These can include.
  • Half day or day tour of the region.
  • Tour of schools in the area.
  • Family day outing to sights and attractions.
  • Purchasing a car.
  • House hunting for your more permanent home.
The cost of these customised services are worked out on an hourly package basis taking into account, time, travel, incidentals, expenses and the number of people involved.
 
 
D. PROPERTY SEARCH
 
Finding somewhere suitable to live is probably one of the biggest obstacles that you will have to overcome in New Zealand. There are many things to consider and so many priorities that will influence your decision. In answer to this problem, we have a number of properties available for rent – all ideally appointed for newly arrived families.
 
However, on occasions we are unable to offer you one of our properties for whatever reason. In these cases we are able to undertake a property search on your behalf and to locate the best property we can find to meet your needs on arrival in New Zealand. This saves you the time, stress and risk attached to having your first experience of New Zealand badly tainted by poor accommodation.
 
We will:
  • Locate a property.
  • Inspect the property.
  • Send you full details, photographs and recommendations on the property.
  • Negotiate the cost on your behalf.
  • Provide the documentary sureties required by the owner/landlord.
  • Secure the premises for you.
